The Ancient Inventions of Surya Namaskar: The 12 Glory Posses of God Surya

Sun has a special clinical effect on our body. Surya Namaskar is known a king of posses. There are 12 Yoga poses in the sequence and every 12 poses have as a special benefit. They have a specific mantra that describes the glory of the sun (God Surya).

The series of 12 Asanas in Surya Namaskar are as below:

1. Namaskar Mudra or Pranamsana

Breathing: Normal

Mantra: Om Mitraya a Namah

It means Oh World Friend ! you are saluted.

2. Urdhvahastasana

Breathing Pattern: Inhalation

Mantra: Om Ravaya Namah

It means merry-making god you are saluted.

3. Padahastasana

Breathing Pattern: exhalation

Mantra: Om Surya Namah

It means oh protector of the world you are saluted.

4. Asvasancalanasana

Breathing Pattern: Inhalation

Mantra: Om Bhanave Namah.

It means, Oh high beam, you are saluted.

5. Parvatasana

Breathing pattern: Exhalation

Mantra: Om Khagaya Namah

It means Oh, dynamic a god in the sky, you are saluted.

6. Sastangasana

Breathing pattern: Normal (inhale and exhale).

Mantra: Om Pusne Namah

It means Oh, world's nutrient provider, you are saluted.

7. Bhujangasana

Breathing Pattern: Inhalation.

Mantra: Om Hiranyaggarbhaya Namah.

It means Oh, lightsome's blissful! you are saluted.

8. Panvatasana

Breathing: Exaltation

Mantra: Om Savitre Namah.

It means Oh, Creator of the universe you are saluted.

9. Asvesancalanasana

Breathing Pattern: Inhalation

Mantra: Om adityaya Namah.

It means Oh, the protector of the world you are saluted.

10. Padhastasana

Breathing: Exaltation

Mantra: Om Savitre Namah

It Means Oh, Creator of the Universe you are saluted.

11. Urdhvahastasana

Breathing: Inhalation

Mantra: Om Ankaya Namah.

It means Oh, the rectifier of the unholy, you are saluted.

12. Pranamasana

Breathing Pattern: Normal ( Inhale and Exhale)

Mantra: Om Bhaskarya Namah.
